Yesterday was the towns designated Trick or Treat day. We had around 150 trick or treaters visit our front door and relieve us of around 15lb’s of sweets! Most of our neighbourhood was decorated for halloween with everything from fake cemetaries to haunted houses in peoples front gardens. We both carved pumpkins to put out on our step.

My pumpkin (and I might add that it’s the first time I have carved a pumpkin!)

Meghan’s more impressive haunted house pumpkin:

The colour is peaking in the seacoast area and although a lot of leaves have fallen to the ground, there is still a lot of colour on the trees. At lunch I had a walk around the Strawbery Banke area of downtown Portsmouth to take some photos.

On Saturday we went to the Keene Pumpkin Festival. The festival was first held in 1991 and since then has broken the Guinness world record for the most lit pumpkins 8 times! We managed to park close and stayed for a couple of hours until around 9pm.

This year the total lit pumpkin count was 22,949.

My favourite pumpkin:

The fall colour is turning down in the Seacoast. I took these photos at the boat launch on Sunday night.
