Our first day of Disney was at the Animal Kingdom. This park is very different to the other Disney Parks. The whole park is made to make you feel like you are in the wild. There were no parades or Disney characters and the whole place seemed less fake and more natural. Most of the animals were also not caged. Disney had used natural barriers like water and platforms to keep the animals contained.

The tree of life sits in the center of the Animal Kingdom and contains a 3D theater.

The first thing we did upon entering the park was the safari. We didn’t have to queue long and we saw plenty of animals along the way:

After the safari we walked the park and took in some of the other wildlife that was on show.

We watched a very entertaining bird show which included the mighty bald eagle!

Our day at Animal Kingdom was great, however we were still craving something a little more “Disney” so we decided we would go to the Magic Kingdom the following day!
